Retire Early

Sooner is better than later

I have been a legacy BellSouth Employee until recent buyout by AT &T . At retirement we had a choice between receiving a monthly pension payment or a lumpsum payment. With the upcoming end to our present union contract( August 2009) ,we are trying to find out if the legact A T & T employees have a lumpsum option and if they do how good .

AT&T has a lump sum option, a monthly pension payment option, and a partial lump sum option which is a combination of lump sum & monthly payments. The options available to you will depend on your situation. You can call Fidelity and have them do a pension calculation for you. This will tell you which options are available to you and how much you will receive.

Would you like to compare your payments to some alternative investments (assuming you have a lump sum option) ? I live in the Dallas area, feel free to call if interested in alternative investments. David Young (Financial Advisor) 214 551-5539
Hope you don't mind the offer.
